Frequently asked questions
Booking a campaign
How do I book a campaign?
You sign in to the ad portal, create the content, build a campaign and target it by tags to the neighbourhoods you want. Then you submit it for approval.
How do I target a specific neighbourhood?
By tags. You choose a city or a neighbourhood, and your campaign runs on exactly the matching screens.
Can I run several campaigns at once?
Yes. You manage several campaigns side by side, each with its own targeting and run time.
Reach and measurement
How is reach measured?
A presence sensor counts anonymously how many people pass the screen. The touch layer counts every click. Together they form an advertising currency with real numbers.
What do I see in the report?
How often your message was seen and how often it was tapped, over the run time of your campaign.
Approval and content
Is my campaign reviewed?
Yes. The operator briefly reviews every campaign before it goes live, so the content fits the stairwell setting.
Which advertising is not allowed?
Excluded are unlawful, misleading and unfair content under Swiss unfair-competition law, political and religious advertising, pornographic and youth-endangering content, advertising for tobacco, addictive substances and gambling, and inadmissible health claims. Also rejected are discriminatory, violence-glorifying or inciting content, advertising that infringes third-party rights, and advertising that harms the standing of the buildings or their residents. For products under statutory advertising restrictions, those rules apply. The binding wording is the section on inadmissible advertising content in the terms.
Which formats can I submit?
Text in Markdown or HTML, a single image, a multi-page PDF or a short video. To a text piece you can add PDF or image attachments, shown as a tap-to-open link. The exact sizes are shown in the portal when you create the content.
How soon does my campaign run after approval?
Once approved, it appears on the matching screens, with no one having to do anything on site.
Privacy and price
Is personal resident data collected?
No. The count only records anonymously whether someone passes by and whether a tap happened. There is no camera, and the record stays anonymous, revDSG-compliant.
What does a campaign cost?
The price follows the monthly delivery, that is the device-days of your campaign, with a surcharge for video. The rates are on the pricing page.
How does payment work?
You book monthly. Billing is afterwards by invoice for the actual delivery, there is no prepayment.
How your advertising runs
When is my advertising shown?
Your campaign runs once four things are in place: the campaign is switched active, all its creatives are approved by the operator, your billing details are complete and you have accepted the terms and the data-processing agreement. If one is missing, the campaign waits until it is met, then starts on its own.
What is a creative, what is a campaign?
A creative is a single ad piece (text, image, PDF, video). A campaign bundles creatives, steers the audience and the run time and switches them on or off. Approval sits on the creative, not on the campaign.
Does a new campaign start right away?
No. A newly created campaign is inactive. You switch it active on purpose once it is ready.
Approval
How do I submit a creative for approval?
Open the creative's preview in the creatives list and click “Submit” below it. It then goes to the operator for review. You can submit each creative on its own. Alternatively a campaign submits all open creatives at once with “Submit all creatives”.
How long does approval take?
Usually one to two working days. The operator reviews each creative on its own, so the screens in the buildings stay clean.
My creative was rejected. What now?
The reason is shown on the creative. Revise the content accordingly and submit again.
What happens when I edit an approved creative?
Only a content change (text, image, template) resets it to open, then it has to be reviewed again, and campaigns with this creative pause meanwhile. Renaming or a branding change does not reset the approval.
Editing a campaign
Does a change to the campaign stop playback?
No. Adding an approved creative, changing the order, removing a creative or adjusting the audience keeps the campaign running. If you add a creative that has not been reviewed yet, only that one pauses until it is approved; just submit it for review.
Where do I see whether my campaign is running?
By the traffic light in the campaign list: red is inactive, amber is waiting for approval, green is running.
Reach and numbers
What do reach and clicks mean?
Reach is the anonymously counted movement in front of the screens while your campaign ran. Clicks are taps on your content. Both numbers are attributed per campaign: the same content in two campaigns counts separately for each.
From when do the numbers count?
From the day you created the campaign. A fresh campaign inherits no numbers from before.
Payment
How do I pay for advertising?
By invoice, in arrears. There is no upfront payment. You book your campaign, it runs, and you receive a monthly invoice for the actual playback.
What is billed for?
For the playback: on how many screens your campaign ran on how many days (screen-days). Reach and clicks are shown alongside as proof of value.
What happens if I do not pay an invoice?
In case of payment default we pause your campaigns until the open invoice is settled.
Why do I need billing details and the accepted terms and data-processing agreement before advertising runs?
So we can bill correctly and the legal basis is in place. As long as billing details are missing or the terms and data-processing agreement are not accepted, your advertising is not played out.
